Sevilla

I'll be gone for 10 days to visit Sevilla, Spain. My wife will spend a semester abroad (and I'll stay in Heidelberg) at the University of Sevilla.

As finding a place to stay is not as organized as in most other (european) countries, the first task we'll have to accomplish is finding a flat that is not overpriced and not "interior" (meaning without windows). Until then we'll stay at a hostel and hope to also find time to do a bit of vacation.

The weather is supposed to be too hot for my taste, but just right for Flora.

I'll not be reading mailinglists, but if you send a mail directly to my address you have a small chance that I will see (and perhaps answer) it before Sept. 11th.

I was there just 3 days ago... The weather is hot, and very humid.
In the night is more pleasable.
Take care of the bathrooms... The one in my hostel smell bad.. can't stay there!

Hot? But last week in Seville was very pleasable!!! I live in Seville and I can asure you that this summer is not as hot as others. True hot in Seville is 44 or 45ºC. 35ºC it's ok!

As I said you, I live in Seville. If you need something, try to ask me. But I can't promise nothing because I've to study a lot for my September's exams. Good luck!

I live in Córdoba. Probably, Sevilla and Córdoba are the two cities in Spain with an higher temperature in summer. To get 45º C in summer is not strange at all. I don't like heat either, I should have born in Norway or so (but it is a bit late to solve that

).

30º is not very hot, compared to one month ago. Right now, we are about 34º in my city.

I wish you a lot of fun in Sevilla, I visited it some months ago and it's a really beautiful city. Enjoy it!

When you vacation to Sevilla have you considererd renting a cabin rental, or vacation rental instead of a hotel?

No, we were only looking for hostels. I didn't expect anything else to be comparable in prices and location.
