I'll be taking a closer look at this release the next weeks and will be more actively looking into the NMM backend again.

This looks really exiting!

I have been keeping an eye on NMM since I ran into their booth at a CEBIT conference a few years back and I have no doubt that the technology holds great promise. What I have not yet seen, however, is a really user friendly way to actually set this up and use it. (I might not have been looking hard enough..)

I am hoping that a Solid (pun intended

NMM backend might help remedy this and allow all of KDE's multimedia applications to achieve near seamless network distribution of media
