As I'm going to Akademy and there will surely be a few more people traveling the same way, I wanted to ask if there's interest in traveling together - or to share a car ride. I've already talked to Martin Gräßlin who lives in Mannheim (I'm in Heidelberg, in case you didn't know already), and we'd probably take a train together. Neither of us owns a car, but if you do and drive by Mannheim/Heidelberg (A5) and want company and people sharing the high fuel cost with you, let me know. If not, you still might want to try to meet up in the train... in that case also let me know.

For the train I'd probably take the ICE 610 (12:35 Mannheim - Köln) and ICE 14 (14:44 Köln - Bruxelles-Nord) on Fr, 8th, of course. But sharing a car ride would probably be cheaper.

Now back to exam preparations...

I don't have a car to offer, but my train tickets tell me that I definitely will be in these two trains (from Stuttgart). I already bought the tickets including seat reservations about six weeks ago. So good luck finding a car, if not, we'll meet already in Mannheim.

There are a few that offer travel at least from e.g. Frankfurt, others are coming from Switzerland etc., so you perhaps you could ask and join them somewhere (e.g. in Frankfurt)

Yes, I am leaving from Frankfurt on Friday afternoon. Can take 3 people on the ride. Just let me know.

My uncle was Thomas Baumgart and he lived near Nurmberg until he passed away at a young 38 years old or so. I am his niece and I was wondering if you know what area of Germany Baumgarts are from? Is/was your father an American? I am wondering if your father was my uncle.

Hi

According to my booking I am in the same ICE. I am coming from Frankfurt so we would be in the same train in Köln if you are still going all the way with the train.

Would be nice to know I am not the only one going to aKademy in the station at Mechelen
